Attempting sketch cards!

I'm getting ready for Boston Comic Con in less than a month and aside from making up some prints of my Womanthology pin-up and a couple of other pieces, I'm working on some sketch cards to sell. I just finished one of Korra (from Nickelodeon's The Legend Of Korra). Of about 10 that I've attempted so far, this is the first that I actually liked the end result! Gonna post it soon, so I hope you all like it!

Thanks so much, Julie! I'm going to be doing a lot more of them; they were so much fun...even Leonard and his oddly-shaped face (which took me a total of 5 hours to finish, haha). I've been passing your work along to a few friends of mine because it's just fantastic. Have you ever seen Game Of Thrones? They have creatures called Direwolves and they're absolutely gorgeous. Look into them if you haven't already because I could totally see you drawing them! I'm doing very well, thanks! How's things with you?
I can only imagine how many times one must re-draw his face! I haven't figured out how to shade with only the markers (I have a few prisma colors, too). I've just been using colored pencils to make highlights and shadows. Black is my favorite color to work with for that, since the white pencil shows up so well.
